About this Book
Before Jay Leno's "Headlines," before the New York Post's
"Weird but True," there was National Lampoon's TRUE FACTS
- hilarious real-life advertisements, stupefying signs, weird wedding
announcements, and other completely absurd-but-true samples of real-life
funny stuff.

Scott Rubin is the editor in chief of National Lampoon, Inc.
Tom Snyders, "The Bicycling Comedian," has spent the past
17 years pedaling his fully-loaded touring bicycle to all his stand-up
comedy performances. He's cycled more than 125,000 miles throughout
50 states, 11 countries and three continents. Along the way he snaps
pictures of funny road signs he encounters on the back roads of the
world. He now has a collection of more than 7,000 images - the best
of which are featured in his live performances and the new book National
Lampoon's Big Book of True Facts.
Snyders' car blew up on his way to a comedy performance in 1987. Since
then he's been using his bicycle as his main form of transportation.
Over the years, he's pedaled onto the set of ten national television
shows, including appearances on Good Morning America (just last week),
Comedy Central, ESPN and Live with Regis & Kathie Lee. He's also
performed at the best and the worst comedy clubs in the country.
